Our Story
Brotherhood Initiative works hand in hand with our Sisterhood Sessions.
I'm Every Woman is inspired by our son Caleb (8) who was born with Wolf–Hirschhorn Syndrome (WHS), it is a chromosomal deletion syndrome resulting from a partial deletion on the short arm of chromosome 4 (4P-), causing severe mobility and developmental challenges.
Countless hospital ER, ICU visits and hospital admissions has had an impact on our little family.
Caleb is non-verbal and non-mobile, totally dependent on my wife and I for feeding and everyday living. Caleb has had eight surgeries to date, he eats via a feeding tube (Gastrostomy button), has a port for easy canula access for prolonged seizures lasting anything up to two hours.
Sharing our story has inspired others and helped us in a way we did not know was possible.
We met some amazing people along this journey and look forward to meeting many more.
